HTC Flyer @ 17:41

About 2 weeks ago I took delivery of a shiny new HTC Flyer.

All was well, it was like a massive version of my HTC Desire HD and I was enjoying lunches reading books on it like a Kindle and listening to music on it while I assessed papers.

Until today.

About 11am, midway through Pink Floyd's Echoes, it cut out, powered off and died.

Bumclouds.

A call to Three resulted in a long conversation about how it doesn't work anymore.

Three - What's the problem with it?
Me - It powered off about 2 hours ago and won't power back on.
Three - Have you charged it?
Me - Yep
Three - Does it work?
Me - No. That is why I am calling you.
Three - Is there any lights on it?
Me - No. It doesn't work.
Three - Have you powered it on?
Me - Yes. It does not work.
Three - Was it fully charged?
Me - Yes. It won't power on. It is dead. There is no life in it. No lights, no buzzes, no power; nothing. It is dead, caput, ceased to be, a paperweight, **pllllppp**
Three - So it won't power on?
Me - What do you think? Why do you think I'm calling you?

So they're going to send me a replacement.

Tuesday.

Meh.

Why do they employ these idiots in call centres? Surely it's not that difficult to say "So, Mr Gnomepants Sir, please tell us the problems you are having with your device", and then actually listen to what you say so they can advise you.

I knew that conversation was heading towards Monty!

Well after finally dumping nokia, im loving my modest HTC Desire Z so far :) :)
