Earls Barton Steam and Vintage Fair @ 20:52

Shamelessly I'm posting this here. I did post it on Facebork but I suspect not many people actually look at any of the videos (or statuses for that matter) I post there.

This is where zoefruitcake and I went on Monday.

Enjoyed the video very much and loved the sign in the caravan! :)

JT is off to one of his Society of Operative Engineers (SOE)/Institute of Road Transport Engineers (IRTE) visits tomorrow night. He belongs to the Cornish Branch of SOE and during the summer they have evening visits once a month to all sorts of interesting places. Last month they went to a quarry works, the month before to a Jaguar collection and tomorrow they'll be going here: http://www.teagle.co.uk/.

Probably one of his most memorable visits was to a brewery at Skinners Bottom (yes it is called that)! and when the visit was over the manager produced a great tray of pasties and some bottles of beer!! Of more interest to you ( :-D ) they also visited Dr Dyke and his famous steam cars! I think JT became quite enamoured of the steam racing car known as 'Whistling Billy': http://www.steamcar.net/billy.html - but, fortunately, there is no room in the garage!

Keep posting the videos - I love 'em!

Glad you enjoyed the videos.

There is another steam fair in November and one in a couple of weeks I think. I'm more excited about the November one though as it has a fireworks display too :D

Yes.

There seems to be many steam fairs round here, I think it must be a Northamptonshire thing.
