Apocalypse now @ 22:53

I think I must have missed something in the news this week. It seems like there is an impending famine or shortage due judging by the volume of traffic going to and from local retail parks. Moreover, as I nipped into the supermarket in Banbury early this morning, the queues at the tills were already five or six people deep.
So in preparation I plan to stock up on tinned goods and dehydrated meals and board up the windows to protect my property from looters. I’d dig a few trenches along Daventry Road but the pot holes there should make short work of any invading forces. Also, providing I wrap up warm, I will probably be able to nip into the allotments and stock up on whatever veg people have still growing there.
It must be the apocalypse….

I wonder people find the time to eat all the stuff they buy for Christmas?

Not to worry about getting hold of some vegetables though as I bet the allotments will have loads of produce. I know for a fact that Brussel sprouts always taste better after they have been frosted too. Come to that . . . so do parsnips!!! Lol

I wouldn't worry too much about protecting your property, I don't think anyone is going to go after your collection of old Yes VHS and the multitude of obsolete computer hardware in the loft

They're building a fort of big tubs of confectionery in our local Sainsbury's.
