My commute has gone from a 15 minute one to a 45 minute one down the motorway. Now, in any other circumstance I might think "Chuffin eck that's like 90 minutes of my life gone every day". In fact I used to mock an old Freeserve Chat chum of mine for travelling from Abingdon to Leatherhead and back every day. I mean that's just craziness.
However, I have to turn this down side into a positive and surprisingly it is easy. After the morning drive, I am so tense and wound up that work seems relaxing; likewise after the evening drive, I am able to chill and relax much easier. I think its all comparative at the moment and I'm sure if I'm still doing the same commute this time next year I'll be saying something like "Chuffin' eck why did I bother saying yes to this job".
Not much in the way of other news really. I'm hankering for a really good mixed grill.
